A good maintenance is the key to ensuring the longevity of the generator set. Repairs and maintenance must be carried out by qualified technicians. Records should be kept when carrying out maintenance, which will help to arrange maintenance procedures in the future.
Generally speaking, the generator should be kept clean. No liquid, such as fuel oil or lubricating oil, can be accumulated on any surface inside or outside, nor can it be on, under or around any sound-absorbing substance. Industrial water should be used to clean the surface of the machine. Flammable solution should not be used for cleaning. If the protection of sound-absorbing substance is torn or punctured, it needs to be replaced immediately to prevent liquid or oil from seeping into and accumulating on the substance.
Due to the use of generators in different situations, maintenance requirements are also different. Daily maintenance and maintenance after each car: (for spare generators), these steps can be performed once a week. Before each car is driven or every day, it should be visually inspected around the machine. And timely preventive maintenance.
1. Check the operation of the machine every two weeks (for those standby machines that have not been turned on all the time), and start the car and run the small machine for 5 minutes.
2. Check monthly (turn on the standby machine that has not been loaded and operated) and run the machine with at least 50% load for 1-2 hours.
3. Check every 6 months or 250 hours, check every day and do not let the diesel engine run for a long time with low load.
